Research Technician
We are seeking a Research Technician to assist in studies involving immunostaining, fluorescence microscopy and in vivo physiology. Experience in a biology lab is preferred. Job duties include performing reactions, performing rodent surgeries and behavioral experiments, and processing recordings.
Postdoc
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative scientist interested in inhibition and epilepsy. Come and help us build a new research group and learn innovative methods working shoulder to shoulder with the PI, to invent new strategies to inhibit epilepsy, and to discover mechanisms that enable brain circuits to control their activity. Published research in fields adjacent to the lab focus is required. Applicants with strong training in any of the following areas are encouraged: in vivo optical- or electrophysiology, ultrasound neuromodulation, data analysis, slice electrophysiology, epilepsy models.

Our lab is located in the Epilepsy Research Center of the Department of Neurology of the Baylor College of Medicine, on the Texas Medical Center campus in the heart of Houston. Baylor is private, independent health sciences center, consistently ranked in the top tier of medical programs in the US. Houston is the 4th largest metro area in the country, a progressive city with an exceptionally diverse population, great food and an affordable cost of living.
